A slight majority of Singaporeans (55%) are confident that the CFE report released earlier this year will help Singapore to grow and prosper in the future.
However, Singaporeans are split 50:50 as to whether they think the recommendations made by the committee were ambitious or cautious.
Blackbox also asked Singaporeans what they think Singapore’s future success will depend on most. Nearly a third (32%) said strong and effective potential leadership, whilst 29% said picking the right industries and sectors to succeed in and support them. Just under one in five (18%) said success will depend on technological innovation.
Interestingly, only 4% of Singaporeans thought future success depends on attracting the very best foreign talent.
